Name: Smalls has named them ‘Brutus’.
Age: 87 moons.
Gender: Agender, uses ‘they/them’.
Clan: Wildclan.
History: Brutus was a wild Hyena once. They don’t remember, having been stolen from the wild as a young cub and separated from their mother to be illegally bought by some twolegs. Their new life being owned by twolegs was not a happy one. The man who owned them ran an illegal zoo full of exotic animals he had stolen from all over the world. Brutus, a nameless hyena at this point, was raised to be brutal and violent, protecting their master’s collection from anyone who sought to break in and release the animals. Brutus was rewarded for their aggression and their violent behaviour and they learned that this behaviour would get them food and shelter.
Age: 87 moons.
Gender: Agender, uses ‘they/them’.
Clan: Wildclan.
Rank: Deputy.
Character Slot: Super - Spotted Hyena.
Character Status: Alive.
Character Add-ons: N/A.
Appearance: A large female hyena with dark spots and a ridge of fur running down their back.
Personality: As much as they have started to try not to be, Brutus cannot help but be brutal and violent. It’s what they were raised to be, and they often get lost in the bloodlust of a fight. They are territorial over both where they live and anything they kill. Brutus’ food belongs to them and the small African wild dog that calls them a friend. They are overly hostile to any other large predators they come across and will outright attack them if they get too close. Smaller animals, like most of the clan cats who inhabit the nearby lands, don’t bother them too much and Brutus is content to leave them alone unless they come to Brutus in large numbers. They prefer to follow the orders of another creature as it’s what they are used to. However, Brutus has begun to enjoy their new found freedom.

For almost 6 years, Brutus protected their master’s collection, until one day when their master was finally arrested for his poaching and the collection was left unattended. In the time between the poacher’s arrest and the relocation of the animals planned by the authorities, an activist group broke in and released all of the animals into the wild. Brutus, unsure of just how to live a free life, chose to follow a spunky african wild dog named Smalls, who decided that their name was now ‘Brutus’ and the two of them were friends. It was still easier for Brutus to follow orders than do things of their own free will, so they stuck with Smalls and the pair of them found a patch of land with prey large enough to support Brutus’ eating habits and settled there, unaware of the clans of cats that lived nearby.
Relationships:
+ Smalls - An african wild dog who escaped the illegal zoo with them. It is unknown whether Brutus considers them a friend or not.
Trivia:
+ Brutus is, for the most part, mute. The only animal who has heard their voice is Smalls. When they do speak, it’s in broken sentences and appears to cause them pain.
