Special Connection - Rank I: Snowcat can understand birds of all types. While birds speak to them, they cannot speak back. They could but the birds don't understand them like they understand the birds.
Appearance: Snowcat is a stocky white and grey cat with a plethora of scars. Their pelt is extremely long and fluffy, protecting them from the harsh weather at the summit. They are smaller than normal but stocky and compact. Under their ridiculous amount of fluff they are all hard muscle.
Personality
While Snowcat may have many names they are simply one individual. They received their names from the birds, the only ones that really talk to Snowcat. In the Snow they are Snowcat, in the trees they are Treecat, and in the rocks they are Rockcat. Snowcat is the name they go by the most. Snowcat has lived in isolation in a harsh territory, doing anything to survive. Snowcat talks to themselves almost constantly, a byproduct of always being alone. They narrate what they are doing and not only talk to themselves but also their surroundings. Snowcat is resourceful, cautious, and curious. They learn by trial and error but understand a small error could result in death, especially at the summit. Snowcat is resourceful and doesn't waste anything and cautious. Yet they are willing to try new things and adapt. They are in tune with their territory and very knowledgeable. They know which clouds mean snow, what winds mean freezing, what snow is likely to cause an avalanche, what plants are safe to consume. Snowcat has had some close encounters with other wildlife, fighting off Lynxs and giant eagles. They are gruff and unafraid of challenges. They rarely back down but know it's better to run away to fight another day. Snowcat remains calm in all situations, knowing panic will get them killed. Snowcat can be described has extremely stubborn and hard headed, they keep trying at something until they succeed. Snowcat has not interacted with a cat like themselves since their parents died. Sure the birds talk to them and the lynxs scream insults but that's not true socialization. Snowcat is very socially awkward and anxious. They prefer not to talk or interact with other cats if possible. They can come off as blunt, mean, and stern and they often hide behind a mask of indifference and aggression. Snowcat does not like interacting with others, out of their element and unsure how to act. It's easy understanding the mountain, the mountain doesn't lie or deceive them. As it is Snowcat has had little interactions with others besides the birds and the predators of the mountain that want him dead.
History:
Snowcat remembers little of their parents or childhood. They were born on the summit to a small family. Their father's name was Whispers Of Fallen Snow and their mother's name was Bird That Flies Above. They had two siblings, Light That Shines Upon A River and Wind That Rushes Through Trees. Snowcat had a similar name as the rest of their family but does not remember it. Their family had lived on the summit for generations upon generations. What Snowcat does remember of their childhood are stories of a Tribe of Endless Snow. Snowcat treasures the stories from their childhood, glimpses into their ancestors lives. When Snowcat was six moons old their family died. Thier siblings had been killed by FangTooth and their parents taken by grief and a harsh snowstorm. Snowcat was left alone in a harsh environment he knew little about. Snowcat's parents had taught them the essentials but there was so much more to learn.
OwlBrother saved Snowcat and gave them their name. The Snowy Owl brought Snowcat to safety and taught them everything they needed to know. Without Owlbrother it was unlikely that Snowcat would have survived. OwlBrother took Snowcat under their wing until they were ten moons old. Afterwards Snowcat went out on their own and provided for themselves. OwlBrother continued to check up on Snowcat and they remain close even if Owlbrother can't understand Snowcat. As Snowcat grew they recieved new names from the birds. First it was Treecat then Rockcat. Snowcat fought constantly for survival against other predators. Snowcat needs to keep an eye on the sky, Eaglescar resonsiple for many of the scars Snowcat has. Lynx's are also a terror that constantly had to be chased off. Snowcat gives FangTooth the respect he deserves, staying away from the killer mountain lion.
Snowcat lives on their own, truly socializing with no one. They enjoy their simple life of simply focusing on survival.
